There are a few huge milestones in every relationship that can make or break it: Your first kiss, your first time hanging out with each other's friends, and the first time you meet the parents. Of all of the nerve-racking moments with your significant other, meeting the parents has to be the most suspenseful. As if being judged by your boo thing's bestie was bad enough, now you have to pretend to be the perfect partner in front of a pair of parental figures. 

Naturally, there are a lot of questions you ask yourself when meeting someone's parents, like 'am I good enough?', 'will my handshake be impressive?', and 'can they hear us making out in the other room?'. So even if you're ready to meet someone's family, they'll inevitably be asking themselves if they're ready to accept you. Perhaps your girlfriend/boyfriend's parents are just as nervous as you are! All you need to do when meeting your partner's parents for the first time is be prepared for anything. Mostly, be prepared to answer one simple inquiry...
